🚀 Welcoming Organise to the portfolio

We are delighted to welcome Organise to the RLC Ventures portfolio following our investment into the oversubscribed funding round of £570k, led by Ada Ventures, via our Alpha Fund.

Organise Logo

Co-founded by Nat Whalley (CEO) and Bex Hay (CTO), Organise is a technology platform that enables workers to self-organise, and campaign anonymously for fairer treatment in their places of work.

Since meeting them back in March of this year, the platform has grown from 90,000 to 700,000+ users and bought about some incredibly important changes across the UK.

The impressive founder-market fit, undeniable market opportunity, and their traction to date were key factors underpinning our investment decision. Both Nat and Bex have also received accolades for their work and have a wealth of experience in this field; Nat has a background in political campaigning at 38 Degrees and Avvaz, while Bex was named by The Independent "a thorn in Jeff Bezos' side" for her work on the campaign that forced fairer pay at Amazon.

The RLC Ventures team is extremely excited to be partnering with Nat and Bex on their mission to "give everyone the tools, network, and confidence to make change happen at work" and look forward to the journey ahead. Team Updates

🤝Welcoming Ariel Rahamim

RLC Ventures Analyst, Ariel Rahamim

We're delighted to welcome Ariel to our core team. After his excellent performance as an intern with us last summer, and remaining involved with our work over his final year at the University of Bristol, he will be joining us as an Analyst.

During his time at University, he worked in both the Fintech and PropTech industry and will bring a wealth of knowledge to his role; which will involve deal-sourcing, due diligence, and providing thoughtful analysis to back and underpin our investment decisions. Having already made strides in his role, we are excited to have him as an integral part of our team.

Where We Went

⭐ UKBAA Panel Event

We were delighted to join the UKBAA in exploring how seed VC's are magnifying angel investment via their webinar early last month, alongside SuperSeed and Haatch Ventures.

Representing RLC Ventures, Reece took the time to share how he has used his previous experiences, especially as an ex-EY Management Consultant,  to back early-stage founders; going on to discuss how the Seed VC investing model works, our differentiation from angel investors and traditional VC's and where we add the most value to the funding journey.

Overall, this was a great topic to explore in-depth, alongside two of London's most prominent Seed VC's, and one that we were excited to be a part of.

📣 KPMG Panel

In July, both Reece and Olly participated in KPMG's startup event where companies presented and received feedback from a panel of investors. There were some interesting businesses and well-polished pitches. We look forward to participating in future events.

🏷️ Company Re-Brand

After nearly 3 years, RLC Ventures is undergoing a total re-brand. Electing for an entirely new colour scheme and design allows us to remain up to date and ready for the next decade. The defined shape and sharp edges reflect our contemporary, fresh and exciting approach to early-stage investing. You may have already noticed our new logo at the top and new colour scheme throughout.

🚧 Website Under Construction

Along with our new branding, our Website is getting a total revamp. It will put greater emphasis upon our Emerging Markets thesis as part of our differentiation strategy as well as become consistent with our new branding. The new website launch will be later on in August, so stay tuned!
